We are really trying to the SF crew we are not all zombies down here in the South Bay.  So we will have meeting all over the places including the penisula.  In the mean time San Mateo, isn't that far away from San Jose is it??  wink!

I have a half-baked theory that actual contributors remain a numerical minority in any aggregate, though I'd love to be proven wrong...

If you are one of those who likes to sit on the fence and piss then back out at the last moment because not enough people will go, then I suggest you not come at all.

I'm baffled of why you are instigating how many showed last time.  Like I said, if thats whats gonna affect your decision to show this time, then don't bother coming.  We are all yelpers who enjoy visiting new restaurants regardless of the amount of company.  

Me and Rachel will show REGARDLESS of how many confirm here or not.  For me I eat dinner one way or another, there is nothing to lose for me to come out.  If you got something else you are deciding on, I'd suggest you go to that.

And as a reminded we changed the meeting time and the day of the week of the last meeting for YOU and you didn't show.

Michael, I didn't do a no-show, I made it clear ahead of time that I could not make the event.  Re-read the original thread.

I was asking how many people actually showed up because I thought the purpose of these things was to gather a number of people at a new place _and then review it_.  I noticed that only 3 people of the group who visited Red Pepper actually posted reviews, when it seemed - from the replies - that a significantly larger number of people actually showed up.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I stand by my original observation.

Of course, now that I've been sniped at by you, I have no interest in sharing a table or a venue with you, period.

I am a bit upset because we did indeed had to shift the dates around to fit you which I was totally ok with since I am pretty free.  But as with any planning; every time you make a change you lose some people.  I was disappointed when you backed out the last moment after we had moved it for you.

And your persistent query of how many went, made it sound like you are trying to expose that last meeting as a failure.  Thats why, at least for myself didn't answer your question from the other thread.

Like Vu said, 3 of us where there.  We were disappointed that not more showed, but we had a great time none of the less.  We all agreed it was still worth our time and would do this again if it was only 3 of us next time.

I've done a few event planning and my experience tells me the more you talk about "how many this time, and how many last time" will only hurt an event at it's infant stage.

Again you are welcome to come, but please stop instigating how many went to the last event or how many this time.  Its not helping nor does it matter.  The 3 of us who's there last time will show again this time no matter what to have a good time.
