Drink Plenty of liquids and stay in bed: ( Just kidding)
Question - how do you know you have a virus - if you are using an anti vius program that told you one was detected, it probably also told you it quarantined it or deleted it. If that is the case, nothing left for you to do, but make sure you scan regularly with your antivirus software.
Norton, mcafee(now owned by norton) and MSN, and Aol offer various forms of virus protection.
Also Zone Alarm ( free version for home use) Ad aware ( free version)
will help you in the future keeping other forms of tracking bots off your computer.
If you are without protection on the net - you gonna need some geek help to get it cleaned up.
Practice safe surf and good luck.

yep - for a fee - circuit city, best buy, the geek squad -
they'll charge to run the same programs mentioned earlier.
How much I don't know.
some viruses are pesky some downright mean, but usually no need to panic.
If you don't have virus protection, go to symantec.com, and download a trial version - usually 30 day free trial - then make sure when your tech savy friends are around, load a goood antivirus program to your machine.
again if you got an alert, that a virus was found by your antivirus software, chill, it means the software worked like it was intended.
Kinda like a real virus - just because you are exposed, doesn't mean you are infected.
Always use protection when surfing and good luck
