After being pampered by a boutique fitness studio in New York, I was more than a little hesitant to join a public gym...especially a chain gym.  But you know, I met the owner and he was just the nicest guy in the world (I keep forgetting that's common here in the Pacific Northwest) and the facility was clean and in tip top shape.  I just joined a few days ago and I couldn't be happier....perhaps…
